Hey everybody!  Check it out, I got me some new digs!  I'm betting this is a bit of a hassle for some folks with linky things and such, and for that, I'm sorry, but woot!  Look at my new, infinitely kewler blog.  Well, actually, you guys probably can't really tell that much difference, but I sure can. For instance, I can do this:

in one step.  One.Step.  Best fu...um, darn thing EVER.  Expect fabulous new photo albums in the near future.  Well...near-ish.

Wheeeeeee! First knit-a-long, first socks, first blog, first post.

Welcome to my obsessions. Currently, it's all about the knitting, but I can't promise that it won't also sometimes end up being about my many other compulsions, including (but not limited to): kayaking, scuba diving, soapmaking, cycling, yoga, cross-country skiing, jellymaking, running, cooking, reading, my two siamese kittens, quilting, cheesemaking, homebrewing, and the remodeling of our new 100 year old house in charming Somerville, MA.

And now, back to the knitting! I cast on yesterday with this yarn:

It's so puuuurty. It's "Vail" from Colorado Yarns from WEBS in oatmeal, chocolate, cabernet, and amethyst.

Here is what it looked like yesterday morning:

Since then the 1st section has been finished and I'm on to color #2, chocolate.
