I'm sorry I missed the opening ceremonies at Doyle's! I was all ready to go, and a half hour before I was planning to leave the house, I thought "Oh, wouldn't it be nice to have a couple of rows started before I go?" A couple of rows turned into a colossal disaster:

And I ended up being so mad and frustrated with the whole disaster that I just fell asleep on the couch at 9:30. I've started over, with new (NOT cotton) yarn and a new plan for the blanket--instead of intarsia (a skill that is clearly not my strong suit), I'm going to do entrelac, which is a totally new technique for me. Here's what my progress looks like so far:

I hope everyone's keeping warm!
(More on the intarsia debacle here...)

I kept warm over the weekend and knit a lot, but apparently not enough. I wish I could just sit and do more of it. Of course. Blah. On the plus side, the speed is making my tension a lot better than it is on my Dale-in-progress, on which the tension looks awful. I'm thinking, blocking fixes a lot. A wicked lot.
