So. What's the rule about switching project in the middle of the Games? Anyone know? My sweater is driving me nuts and has about zero appeal right now, and I am wondering if I would be kicked out if I knit, say, a hat, instead? :)

Umm, in my sport (synchronized swimming, admittedly a summer olympics game rather than winter, but an Olympic sport just the same!), substitutions of alternate athletes are allowed, as long as the referee is notified. I think that can be extrapolated to switching knit projects mid-stream...
