I'm in! I am in the N.End, so definitely qualify as being in Boston. I will be making a bi-color brioche from Interweave Knits.

Liz (the crazed weasel)

mwahaha--I think we may need a Team Liz before this is over. Count me in for the Boston, though, dudettes! I'm doing (gulp) the leaf cardigan from Poetry in Stitches. Yes, I'm fast. And yes, I think I may have lost my mind. If I sell any of the five designs out in submittal, I'm probably totally screwed. But it's good! It's all good!

I'm in Somerville - sign me up! I'm making Rogue, out of lavendar Cascade Eco wool.

Betsy, The Traveling Knitter

I'm from Somuhville, and I'm in. I ordered some wicked awesome handspun and dyed yarn from The Knitting Room in Arlington. If it comes by Feb. 10th, I'll be making a sweater from Ann Norling. I'm trying to come up with a backup project just in case, though. I thought about Rogue, but that's going to be a lot of fun and I don't want to rush through it (or be unrealistic either....)

Cindy D

Can I be a cheerleader? What do I have to do?

Kat with a K

I'm in! I live in NH but go to school in Boston, so that's close enough, right? I'm making Cable and Rib Bearfoot socks.

Persnickety Knitter

I'm from the north shore (Georgetown) - count me in. I'll be making Rogue.

I'm in ... I'm making a Classic Aran from "The Children's Collection" by the Scottish Designer. I figure if I'm making a kid's size 6 I might have a chance of finishing.

Thanks for setting this up--I'll need all the support I can get. No pattern pix yet, but I plan to make a cabled sweater. Go Team Boston (or Brookline, in my case)!

This is so exciting! I am making a pair of knee socks for my daughter. I have never done them on 2 circulars before, so we will see how it goes.

I'm in also....I'm making a Hoodie....that still only exists in my head. It's been sitting there a while, so here's hoping it comes out in 16 days!

Yes yes yes! I'm in in in! And, in haaahdcore Boston style, I'll be Jaywalking my way though the Olympics. It's all about the patterns from the local girls, right?

Seanna Lea

I'm so in. Braintree is less than an hour away (except when the Red Line is exceptionally cranky).

I am doing two things (maybe even simultaneously).

1. I am finishing a sweater and a vest (mostly seaming with a bit of picking up of stitches and some ribbing).

2. I am going to start, finish, and line the monkey backpack from the first SnB book.

Sounds like fun ! I will be making a secret surprise gift for the Black Purl exchange.

Monica from Maynard

I'm in! A pair of socks harder than ribbed.

Hey There-
We met (briefly) at Claudia's place last weekend. I'd like to join Team Boston!
i'm knitting Dale of Norway St. Moritz

I live in Delaware, but was born in Boston. The fiction I write is set in Cambridge. I'll do a lace shawl from hand spun Leister Longwool. Only 600 LLs in the US. The project has to be perfect. KB

Sign me up please! At the moment, i'm a blogless wonder (Boston resident!) but hope to remedy that in the near future.

I *think* I'll be re-knitting my Nothing But a T-shirt that I completely tore apart a couple of months ago (see

thanks for organizing the team!

I'm knitting the Michael Kors short-sleeved cabled sweater from the Holiday 2005 issue of Vogue Knitting. Yippee!

I'm in! (I heart your logos!). I'm knitting the Guenivere wrap from "Wrap Style" in Kid Silk Haze.

Give me a "B" -- I'll cheer you guys on!

Okay, I'm going to be attempting mittens for the International Scarf Exchange (this time you could pick to ask for a hat or mittens to go with it, as well).
Worsted weight in three different shades of wool, used two at a time.

Mary Ellen

Can I join? I'm in Melrose, not far from Boston, and I'm going to tackle my first cabled project -- the Basic Cable hat from Stitch 'n' Bitch Nation.

I'm in!! I'm going to lengthen a sweater that is too a sweater modification!

I'm just here to steal the button, LOL. Technically, we live in central PA now--but I was born in Beth Isreal Hospital, both parents got their Master's at Tufts, one got a BA at Harvard, and I spent my 20th summer working at a Friendly's in Jamaica Plain. 'K?

I'm knitting the twins matching sweaters. They're really simple sweaters since I'm up to my eyeballs in work, but there are two of them.
