I was only able to get a picture of my olympic project on their recipient last night, since my daughter had been visiting her grandmother for February vacation. This was my first time doing two socks on 2 circulars. Simultaneous socks rock my world! They were finished on time (actually several days early), and I actually even found time to work on a sweater after (about 30% done).
I had so much fun being part of the Olympics and part of Team Boston. Unfortunately I was unable to make either of the parties, but I greatly enjoyed reading all of your posts. Thanks for letting me play along.
So I finished before the torch was extinguished, to my own surprise. I really didn't expect that I'd be able to do it when it was Wednesday when I finished the first armwarmer. My only problem is one is longer than the other too much ribbing on one so I guess I'll have to go back and fix that later, but for now I rest.
Spun in just over a week, dyed over several days, knit in one day.
Well, while scanning pictures and/or talking on the phone today I finished my 4th hat - Go Team Boston!…and I am considering myself done on time since they are still showing the closing ceremonies on TV right now (I know it is on a delay and they are all asleep in Italy, but I didn’t cast on until the opening ceremonies were on TV here anyhow!)
So here is my “podium shot” from the upper left the hats are: Lava Girl, Scottish Twist, Flying Wombat, and Blue Wave. The mittens are Grimace Hands. This has been a great way to spend my February Break…maybe I should go prep for tomorrow…yeah, school…

I did it!
This victory was not without sacrifice. My Dining Room has only 1 1/2 more walls painted than yesterday morning :
Also sacrificed was a great deal of sleep, as I stayed up until 1am on Friday and 3am last night to finish. The saddest sacrifice of all is that I've decided to skip the Closing Ceremonies party, because the thought of changing out of my pajamas right now is more than I can handle.

Done. 16 hats in 16 days. My challenge was just finding the time to knit. I wove in the ends on the last hat as they were playing the Swedish national anthem.
Anyone else rooting for Team Finland? With a player named Koivu (rhymes with Koigu) how could a knitter not root for Finland?
